ZAMBOANGA CITY, Dec. 21 (PIA 9) - - The city will host next year a big gathering of ladies for its “National Convention of the Local Council of Women.”
The convention set on January 26-28, 2012 will bring in women from various parts of the country and converge to discuss and deal with issues and concerns besetting the women of today.

City Councilor Lilia Nuño, chairperson, City Council’s Committee on Women and Children said the convention among others, will tackle the development and upliftment of women and children on their socio-economic life and women’s contribution to society.
Nuño said, during the convention, the women will create an organization, association for small scale business and food production for one-top product. The organization that will be created will also help in tourism promotion and peace and order. (JPA/PIA-ZBST)
