DIPOLOG CITY, March 27 (PIA) - - Secretary Joel Villanueva, director-general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is slated to arrive here this week to serve as guest of honor and speaker during the graduation rites of TESDA scholars.
Around 700 scholars will graduate from short-term technical vocational courses such as beauty care, hair dressing and automotive mechanic come March 30.
Villanueva was also invited to speak before the graduates of the Dipolog Medical Center College Foundation, Inc. on the same day.
It was also learned that the TESDA chief will swear in the new set of officers of the Provincial Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (PTESDC) chaired by Provincial Governor Rolando E. Yebes.
He will also join Governor Yebes in distributing TESDA Specialista Technopreneurship Program starter kits to identified beneficiaries. These starter kits contain tools and other paraphernalia to be used by the beneficiaries in pursuing their respective livelihoods. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
