PAGADIAN CITY, March 27 (PIA) – Summer heat is on so is the youth’s passion to learn health and sanitation, solid waste management and first aid through a seminar.
Over 400 young community leaders gathered in batches at the Farmer’s Haven in Dao, Pagadian City to be proactive in learning the basics of youth participation in environmental protection and health promotion.

The 3-day seminar was pushed by Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Antonio H. Cerilles to ensure that SK leaders here could be refreshed on their role as well as to equip them with knowledge on topics like environmental protection and sanitation; environment and health impacts specifically on water and dengue prevention and first aid; facts and figures on garbage; Ecological Waste Management Act, and on the ill effects of drug addiction.

The SK leaders are expected to download their learnings attained from the seminar to fellow youths in their localities to generate multipliers. (NBE/PIA9)
