ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 20 (PIA 9) - - The government’s Public Works and Highways Department, under its regular infrastructure program, will implement in this city this year, 11 various infrastructure developments of which project costs is pegged at P200 million.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) District Engineer Merham Acas said the P200 million budget allocation will cover several road reblocking jobs in the city’s east and west coasts; asphalt overlay, upgrading of the Labuan-Limpapa road and expansion of bridges.
Bidding process for the project is ongoing, informed Acas.
The district engineer said that resources to finance these projects will come from DPWH central office in Manila.
Acas informed, aside from these regular projects, DPWH will also implement several other infrastructure developments such as multipurpose covered courts, concreting of barangay roads, improvement of drainage system among others, of which funding will come from the Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) of Representatives Beng Climaco and Erbie Fabian respectively.(JPA / PIA ZBST)
