ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 15 (PIA 9) - - 13 Day Care centers from the various barangays of the city’s 1st district recently received kiddie chairs for the use and benefit of the daycare children.
A total of 265 kiddie chairs were delivered to these day care centers situated in barangays Sta Barbara, San Jose Gusu, Baliwasan, Calarian, Sinunuc, Cawit and Capisan with the day care in Capisan being the farthest, of which the day care center can only be reached after almost an hour of physical trek.
House Deputy Speaker Beng Climaco who sponsored the kiddie chairs said the initiative was part of her education advocacy program.
“I want the children to be hopeful especially in their first step to early education,” she said in a press statement.
“In our visits to the centers, we saw the basic need of these children. Most of them would still carry their own chairs from their homes to bring to their schools. Chairs in their school are big help already to make the place conducive for learning,” Climaco said in the same pres statement.
Day Care centers in all other barangays in the 1st district are set to also received their share of kiddie chairs.(JPA / PIA ZBST)
