170 patentees get land title under “Handog Titulo Program”

MUTIA, Zamboanga del Norte - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 9,  in collaboration with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Dapitan City, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and the Registry of Deeds recently turned-over land titles to beneficiaries of Handog Titulo Program.

In a press release from the PENRO, it disclosed that 170 patentees were given land titles  during the “Handog Titulo Program” conducted recently at Tabac, Mutia, this province.

Aside from the individual land titles, a Special Patent for a 2.6 hectares school site was also awarded to Daan Tipan Elementary School of Piñan town, which was received by Susan Montana, school principal.

The 170 patentees are from Barangays Newland, San Miguel, Pasorio, Sto. Tomas, Headtipan, Poblacion, Alvenda, Buenasuerte, Unidos, New Siquijor, and Dioden, all of Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte.

In his message, DENR-9 Regional Director  Arleigh J. Adorable urged everyone to take good care of the land and make it productive as he enjoined them to be grateful and thankful  to this program of the government.

Atty. Bryan Lim of the Registry of Deeds also emphasized to the patentees to take care of their land titles and visit his office whenever any problem arises.


The “Handog Titulo” program is one of the anti-poverty alleviation programs of the Aquino administration to help the Filipino farmers and their families to have a strong foundation of social security and contribute towards the economic growth and development of the country. (Virnie Bagonbon-PENRO)
