Mr. Cesar C. Bazan, head of Pag-ibig Western Mindanao Housing Business Center, Home Lending Operations, Zamboanga Branch said the free mass wedding is an annual undertaking of Pag-ibig as part of its social commitment to the Filipino people.
Dapitan City Mayor Rosalina G. Jalosjos, who officiated the wedding, expressed her wish for a happy and lasting relationship for the newly-wed couples and urged them to be faithful to one another.
In the video messages of Pag-ibig Board Chairman, Vice-President Jejomar Binay and Pag-ibig Fund Presient and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, both congratulated and expressed their best wishes to the newly-wed couples.
In a raffle draw following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds received major and minor prizes consisting of umbrellas, food servers and electric irons. Three couples were also given a free night at the hotel - two from Mayor Jalosjos and one from the management of Dapitan City Resort Hotel.
