IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay – A team
building seminar spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry Regional
Office 9 (DTI-9) was conducted on Tuesday here at the Casa Mea Hotel for the
Zamboanga Peninsula (ZamPen) Rubber Industry Cluster Team.
The seminar was composed of team building exercises,
lecture and discussion on leadership development, productivity and quality
concept, and personal value leader construction.
The participants were members of the rubber industry
cluster team consisting of the Technical Education and Skills Development
Authority (TESDA), DTI-9 regional officers and provincial heads, rubber farmers
and growers, representatives from the local government units (LGUs) and the
media.
Ms. Crispina B. Almonte, consultant of Gold
Consultancy, Inc. served a lecturer in the said training, emphasizing the
importance of the values a team player must possess in the team.
“We have to have
the good gears for our team,” she said adding that “money will [just] melt like
butter especially in business.”
Each exercise was accompanied by presentations of
outputs which the participants would be presenting for evaluation and
discussion.
Zamboanga Sibugay is touted to be the rubber capital in
