PAGADIAN CITY – In keeping with its constitutional
mandate to administer and control the Philippine National Police (PNP), the
National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will conduct the PNP entrance and
promotional examinations on May 26, 2013.
NAPOLCOM Regional Director Atty. Macapado T. Guro said
the PNP entrance examination is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age,
height and educational requirements as well as to Police Officer 1 (PO1) whose
appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility.
Those who pass this examination will be conferred by
the NAPOLCOM the PNP entrance eligibility which is appropriate for appointment
to the rank of PO1, as prescribed under Sec. 30 of R.A. No. 6975, as amended by
R.A. No 8851, Guro said.
The schedule for on-line application for this
examination is set on March 4-15, and the period for filing will be on April
1-30, 2013.
On the other hand, Guro further disclosed that the PNP
promotional examination is intended for Police Officer, Sr. Police Officer,
Police Inspector, and Police Superintendent. It is exclusively open to all
qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards
for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
The successful examinees of this examination shall be
conferred eligibilities appropriate for promotion to the rank corresponding to
the examination’s eligibility rank coverage (ERC).
On line application for this examination will start on
March 16-25, and the period of filing will be on April 1-30, 2013.
For the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, the above mentioned
examinations will be held in Pagadian City.
