IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay, Oct 15 (PIA) -- The local government units (LGU) of Payao and Titay in Zamboanga Sibugay have signed an agreement with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) under its Agrarian Reform Communities Project 2 (ARCP-2) for the construction of farm-to-market roads.
Payao Mayor Joeper Mendoza signed a P25-million project for the rehabilitation with spot concreting of Balungisan-Guiwan (13.5 km) and construction of Balungisan-Upper Sumilong road project (4.15 km) with LGU equity amounting to P8.7 million.
Titay Mayor Maria Esperanza Corazon Rillera inked a project worth P16.2 million intended for the rehabilitation of Culasian-Supit farm-to-market road and rehabilitation with spot concreting of Kitabog-Mabini farm-to-market road. LGU counterpart fund amounted to P7.2 million.
Other infrastructure sub-projects are located in the municipalities of Naga, Tungawan, Kabasalan, Siay, Mabuhay, R.T. Lim and Ipil.
Both Rillera and Mendoza expressed gratitude to DAR-Zamboanga Sibugay headed by Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Rizzel B. Villanueva for the programs and projects extended to both municipalities.
They also extended their appreciation to Assistant Project Manager Cecilieta B. EstaƱo for encouraging them to undertake these projects.
The documents were signed at Casa Mea Hotel and Restaurant in the presence of the Parccom officers and members, municipal engineers, municipal planning and development officers. (BCJ/DAR/PIA9/alt)
