DIPOLOG CITY, May
13 (PIA) - - The city government through the City General Services Office
(CGSO) has again urged the owners of business establishments and residents here
to segregate their wastes.
“No segregation, no
collection policy” will be fully implemented in the city starting May 14,
according to a public notice issued by the CGSO recently.
The city leadership
is pushing for the waste segregation program to keep the city spick and span.
It can be recalled
that the city has for more than a decade been implementing City Ordinance 123,
otherwise known as sanitation ordinance to regulate the maintenance of
cleanliness and sanitation in the area.
In a related
development, the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) is
presently spearheading cleanup activities in the coastal barangays in support
of the ocean month celebration starting May 1-31. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
