DIPOLOG CITY, APR. 3(PIA)--- The Zamboanga del Norte Parole and Probation Office has recently conducted basic training to 18 Volunteer Probation Aides from the municipality of Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.
It was held at the Farmer’s Information Center in Roxas, last March 27, 2012.
Zamboanga del Norte Chief Parole and Probation Officer Jose Alan B. Santillana said the training was aimed to equip the volunteers with the basic knowledge and skills on the service offered and the programs implemented by the Parole and Probation Administration in the supervision of clients and in the Community Resource Development which are deemed necessary in the performance of their duties as Volunteer Probation Aides.
After the training, CPPO Santillana disclosed that these volunteers are now ready to face another challenge in life like supervision cases that helps in the effective and efficient implementation of the community-based treatment program of rehabilitation and thus assuring successful reformation and rehabilitation of probationers, parolees and pardonees.
The Zamboanga del Norte PPO is also planning to hold similar training to other municipalities in the province to encourage active participation of volunteer probation aides in all community activities (ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
