JHCSC-Bayog Campus holds 7th Commencement Exercises

Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, April 3 (PIA) – JH Cerilles State College – Bayog Campus concluded its School Year 2011-2012 with its 7th Commencement Exercises on March 29, 2012 at the municipal gymnasium with the theme: “JHCSC Graduates, Promoting Sustainable Peace and Environmental Development through Information and Communication Technology.”

Governor Antonio Cerilles who was the guest of honor and speaker, in his message emphasized on environmental laws and protection to the graduates and parents. He said, Bayog is a rich municipality which is endowed with rich natural resources. At present several mining companies are interested to come in. He reminded the local residents to be more vigilant in monitoring their respective surroundings because there are some companies now in the municipality, have no permit to operate.

A total of 125 graduates were conferred by Dr. Carlicita Saniel, JHCSC President, 33 of whom are Bachelor of Elementary Education; 1 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; 24 Bachelor in Agricultural technology; 24 Diploma in Agricultural Technology; 36 Associate in Computer Technology and 21 Curriculum in Certificate of Automotive Technology.

During the ceremony, Mayor Leonardo Babasa, Jr., who at the same the school administrator congratulated the graduates. In his inspirational message he said; “Each and every graduate are summoned to do greater task, proactive and share their respective time, talent and will of informing, encouraging, and leading people in achieving this world-wide mission to our environment. No other individual will do - but you! No other time – but now! Until we start, nothing will be positively changed,” Babasa challenged the graduates.

On the other hand, a day before the graduation,  a tribute to parents and ecumenical service was conducted with Pastor Cart Gladden Aquillon of the Seventh Day Adaventist, Pastor Horace Paul Anlap of the Bible Baptist Church and Rev. Fr. Rollie Taghap of the San Jose Parish as speakers (BAG/PIO-Bayog/PIA9/CAL)
