ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte, March 26 (PIA) - - “PNoy was right in saying ‘Kayo ang boss ko’ (You are my boss) to the Filipino people.”
Thus said Zamboanga del Norte second district representative Rosendo Labadlabad before the recipients of a livelihood project in Barangay Dohinob of this town in a turnover ceremony held here Saturday.
Speaking before the officers and members of the Roxas Sardines Livelihood Association (RSLA), Labadlabad said the President has considered the Filipino people his boss and “this is the reason why he always looks after the good and welfare of his people.”
“The President, guided by his “matuwid na daan” (straight path), does not tolerate graft and corruption to go unabated in his administration. He wants that government funds will be used properly and wisely for the greater benefit of the Filipino people,” the congressman stressed.
“The government funds are limited, but if these funds are spent wisely, the government can provide more services and projects to the public,” said Labadlabad.
In support of the President’s “matuwid na daan,” Labadlabad championed the implementation of graft-free infrastructure projects in his district. His two-classroom school building, for instance, only cost the government P450 thousand. The amount of two-classroom school building implemented by other government agencies already doubled to P900 thousand or higher.
Labadlabad has already flooded his district with several infrastructure projects and services ranging from roads, bridges, irrigation system, school buildings to health services and scholarship programs for poor but deserving students. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
