DIPOLOG CITY, Feb. 10 (PIA) - All is set for tomorrow’s free mass wedding in this city.
City Civil Registrar Rosemarie Patangan-Miranda told the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) today that the city government here will hold a free mass wedding to be solemnized by Mayor Evelyn T. Uy tomorrow.
Dubbed “Twogether Forever,” the mass wedding will be held at 8 a.m. for the 55 couples at the Dipolog City Sports Complex at barangay Olingan this city.
The free mass wedding is being held every February each year by the city government as one of the highlights of the “Civil Registration Month” celebration.
A free registration of live births will also be held on Feb. 24 at the City Civil Registrar’s Office (CCRO) starting at 8 a.m.
With this, the city civil registrar is calling all parents to bring their unregistered children at the said office for registration.
Parents are also reminded that they are to register their children with the CCRO as it is one of the rights of every child to have a name and citizenship. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
