PNP says Zanorte is safe

DIPOLOG CITY, JAN.31(PIA)---There’s no problem with peace and security in Zamboanga del Norte.

This was the collective statement of the police and military authorities in the province during the press conference held recently.

Among those who attended the said press conference include 1st Lieutenant Godfrey Fajutag of the 101st Infantry Brigade, Police Superintendent Gideon Dy of the Zamboanga del Norte Police Office, Dapitan City Police Office Chief, Supt. Glenn Dulawan; Dipolog City PNP Chief, Supt. Joven Parcon and Technical Sergeant Primo Anchieta of the Special Force.

According to Fajutag, whose unit is based in the municipality of Leon Postigo, people need not worry about the peace and order condition in the province, as it is being taken cared of by the law enforcement agencies in the area.

Fajutag assured all residents of the province, including the tourists of their safety. “Each one of us can vouch with regard to the peace and order in our respective area of responsibility,” he said.

On the other hand, both Parcon and Dulawan have also committed to work hand-in-hand and never allow politics to hinder their function as peacekeepers in the province. They likewise assured closer coordination with concerned agencies for an immediate response to any criminal activities that may happen.

Apart from its campaign against criminal elements, the Dipolog City PNP has also conducted outreach activities in the different barangays in the city.

These include the SAMBAYAN, which the PNP, in coordination with various agencies and private institutions give supplemental feeding in various barangays in Dipolog City.(ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
