ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jan. 14 (PIA 9) - - Second batch beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pasada (PP) fuel assistance may soon claim their PP cards as the Land Transportation Office prepares for its release.
LTO 9 Director Aminola Abaton said his office received the PP cards last December and that the transportation office is now gearing for its release.
He said his office received 1,111 PP cards ready for distribution to jeepney drivers/operators.
The first batch of PP cards were distributed sometime in June last year to 1,869 beneficiaries.
Abaton said LTO-9 ranks number three in the full distribution of the cards to rightful beneficiaries.
Each Pantawid Pasada card is loaded with p1,050 worth of gasoline assistance.
The Pantawid Pasada Program (PPP), also known as the Public Transport Assistance Program (PTAP) is a national government intervention program to give gasoline assistance to the transport sector of the country such as jeepneys and tricycles, to cushion the impact of oil price hikes. (JPA / PIA ZBST)
