DIPOLOG CITY, NOV. 16(PIA)-- To ensure that the program really reached its target beneficiaries, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)has scheduled to hold a Consultation Workshop in Cagayan de Oro city with the Provincial Governors of province-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
DSWD-9 Regional Director Teodulo Romo Jr., who extended an invitation to Zamboanga del Norte Governor Rolando Yebes attend the forum said, the workshop’ aims to get an update on the implementation of 4Ps in the provinces.
Earlier, Director Romo sent Gov. Yebes the list of additional 22,891 4Ps beneficiaries from the 13 municipalities of the province.
However, after the registration and revalidation from November 3 to 7, the number of beneficiaries went down to 21,705 households after 1,186 family-beneficiaries were found not eligible to avail of the program.
The new batch of 4Ps beneficiaries are coming from the municipalities of Leon Postigo; Baliguian; Godod; Gutalac; Jose Dalman; Kalawit; Katipunan; Manukan; Roxas; Sergio OsmeƱa; Siaya; Sibuco; and Sindangan.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jose Cruz, 4Ps Provincial Link in Zamboanga del Norte has asked the DSWD Central Office for an extension of registration and revalidation of 4Ps beneficiaries until the end of the month after some 5,102 targeted beneficiaries failed to come during the earlier registration for various reasons.(JPA/ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
