DIPOLOG CITY, March 3 (PIA) - - The number of establishments applying for business permits here for this year has increased, according to the city licensing division chief Lourdes Pabilona.
Pabilona told the City Information Office (CIO) that her office has granted business permits to 2,095 establishments, registering an increase of two percent from that of last year.
There were only 2,057 establishments applying for business permits last year,” she said.
On the other hand, Pabilona, disclosed that there are some establishments in the city that have not renewed their business permits yet. With this, she is calling them to renew their business permits so they can operate their businesses here legally.
In a related development, the city government has observed that new investors, mostly Chinese or Taiwanese, are putting up their businesses in the city. These new establishments have provided employment opportunities to job seekers not only from this city but from the neighboring tows as well.
