DIPOLOG CITY, March 15 (PIA) - - Five separate resolutions have recently been passed by the city council authorizing Mayor Evelyn T. Uy to enter into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the national government agencies (NGAs) and non-government organizations (NGOs) for the implementation of the different infrastructure projects and services in the city.
The city council has given Mayor Uy the authority to sign a MOA with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-IX for the upgrading of certain day care centers in the city amounting to P150 thousand.
Uy was also authorized to ink a MOA with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the rehabilitation of drainage canals along Bonifacio and Lacaya streets situated at the heart of the city.
Another resolution also allowed the mayor to renew the city government’s MOA with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Special Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit Active Auxiliary (SCAA) operations.
The city government is also entering into a MOA with the provincial government of Zamboanga del Norte for the release of funds from the Department of Health (DOH) for the implementation of the Maternal Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) program.
Finally, a MOA will be signed between the city government and the Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) for the upgrading of irrigation canals at Barangay Olingan this city (FPG/PIA-Zambonga del Norte)
