DIPOLOG CITY, May 6
(PIA) - - “We have saved on our travel expenses.
This was the
statement aired by those who have availed themselves of the mobile processing
program conducted here recently by a group of personnel from the regional
office of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)-IX based in Pagadian
City.
The PRC has
assisted some 839 individuals applying for professional identification card
renewal, board examinations, certifications, verifications and others.
It was also learned
that the said activity was made possible through the assistance of the city
government headed by Mayor Evelyn T. Uy.
Since the PRC has
no provincial offices, those who have transactions with said office have to
travel to Pagadian City to process their applications for license card renewal,
certifications and other related documents.
Most of the
professionals who have availed of the mobile processing program were teachers
followed by nurses, midwives, criminologists, engineers, accountants and social
workers.
These professionals
are also hoping that the PRC’s mobile processing program be conducted here
regularly to help bring down the cost of the processing of documents with the
said office. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
