DIPOLOG CITY - The Zamboanga del
Norte Provincial Police Office (ZNPPO) is going to hire new police officers to
be assigned in the different municipal police stations of the province.
ZNPPO
Officer-in –Charge Police Supt. James B. Mejia said the province will have 25
new police officers, consisting of 22 male and 3 females, as part of the 2013
allocation of new positions.
The
municipality of Sergio Osmeña, Polanco, Katipunan, Roxas, Manukan, Sindangan,
Siayan, Salug, Labason, Siocon, and Gutalac will get two new male police
officers each, with additional one female police officer each for Labason,
Manukan and Sindangan municipal police stations.
ZNPPO-Police
Community Relations Office head, Police Chief Inspector Jonathan Yabo said the
recruitment will follow the standard procedures set for the recruitment and
selection of PNP uniformed personnel.
A
new applicant must not be less than 21 not more than
thirty 30 years of age, must be 1.62 meters in height for males and 1.57 meters
for female, Filipino citizen, a person of good moral character, must
have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be
administered by the PNP or any NAPOLCOM-accredited government hospitals, must
possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized educational
institution, must be eligible in accordance to the standards set by NAPOLCOM,
must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or
dismissed for a cause from any civilian positions in the government, must not
be convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral
turpitude.
The
eligibility requirements include any of the following: CSC Career Service
Professional, PO1 NAPOLCOM Entrance Exams, RA 1080(Bar and Board Examination),
PD907 and PD997. Waivers in age, height and weight are also allowed and
available to those belonging to the cultural minorities as provided under RA6975
as amended by RA 8551
Interested
applicants are advised to send their application at the PHRRD Division of the
PNP Provincial Headquarters in Sicayab, Dipolog City or to the PNP Regional
Office at Camp Romeo Abendan, Mercedez, Zamboanga City. (PIA9)
