DIPOLOG CITY - The provincial office of the
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Zamboanga del Norte in partnership
with Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprises Development (BSMED) will conduct
the 2013 SME Roving Academy at the function room of D’Hotel and Suites in this city starting at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. on July 1-2.

Regional Director Nazrullah B. Manzur is expected to grace the two-day affair
in Dipolog City, which will serve as the kickoff activity and launching of a
series of SME Roving Academy to be undertaken by the DTI in Zamboanga Peninsula
from July 1 to 19.

del Norte provincial director Engr. Noel Bazan said the SME Roving Academy aims
to assist and provide a venue for existing and start-up enterprises and
potential MSMEs in terms of trainings, business consultation and other business
development services provided by the different national government
agencies(NGAs).
Experts
from the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC), who will serve as resource
persons, are expected to discuss about Financial Management Training and
Marketing Eco-Tourism (Product Packaging to include destination, events, and
promotional materials.)
Similar
undertakings are slated to be conducted in Pagadian City on July 3 and 4, July
5 and 6 in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, July 16-17 in Zamboanga City, and tentatively
on July 19 in Isabela City, Basilan.
Resource
persons will be discussing about Quality and Productivity Management in
Manufacturing and Internet marketing and fraud detection in Pagadian City and
Quality and Productivity Management in Rubber Production and Processing and
Quality and Productivity Management in Abacca production and processing in
Ipil, Zamboanga, Sibugay.
A
topic on Visual Merchandising may be tackled in Zamboanga City and a topic on Quality
and Productivity Management in Rubber Production and Processing is set to be
discussed in Isabela City.
The
said activity is free of charge but is strictly on a first come, first served
basis.
