CITY - The
Department of Education-Alternative Learning System (DepED-ALS) is set conduct
this year’s Accreditation and Equivalency (A & E)test on October 6, 2013 in
Dipolog City.

City Schools Division’s ALS officer-in-charge said DepED Memorandum Order No.
108 series of 2013 establishes the calendar of activities for the conduct of
ALS accreditation, registration and administration for the year 2013.
Barinaga said the accreditation and
registration activity is now going on until Aug. 4 while A & E test is slated
to be conducted on Oct. 6, 2013.
ALS program caters to the needs of
the out-of-school youths who wish to pursue their studies without going through
the normal process of going to school.
Qualified applicants must be at
least 11 years old for elementary level and 15 years old for the secondary
level.
Passers in the elementary level
category will be eligible to enroll in high school in the succeeding opening of
classes while the secondary level passers will be eligible to enroll in any
four-year degree course.
Barinaga advised all interested
applicants to personally visit the ALS office at the DepED City Schools
Division in Miputak, Dipolog City, from Monday to Friday at 8:00-5:00 p.m. with the following documents: two pieces
passport-size ID pictures with name tags; birth certificate and original and
photocopy in any of the government issued identification cards(driver’s
license, GSIS ID, voter’s ID, etc. (PIA9)
