-- To enhance the competencies of barangay officials and key barangay leaders on the fundamentals of barangay
governance and administration, the local
government unit of Bayog in coordination
with other local officials conducted a
two-day seminar/workshop on governance dubbed as “Laying the Foundation” on June 10-11, 2012 at TIMMULCO
Building, this municipality.
Some 80 participants from the 20 barangays of the municipality, who are recipients of
the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of
Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) attended the said workshop.
According to Mayor Leonardo Babasa, Jr.,
the activity is part of the
LGU’s commitment to Kalahi-CIDSS programs, to conduct governance training.
In his message to the participants, he
urged the barangay officials to
adhere to the principle of Participatory, Transparency and Accountability (PTA) in governing their respective barangays.
