The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration
(OWWA) Region 9 pushes for the expansion of its Tulay Program in other
municipalities within the region.
Just recently, Tulay Program Instructor
Najib Salapuddin conducted a 3-day Office Productivity (OP) Program at St.
Joseph College in Sindangan Zamboanga Del Norte on April 18 to 20 wherein 30
OFW-Dependents graduated the course.
The project aims to bridge communication
gap through the use of internet between OFWs and their families and to provide
free information and communication technology skills training.
The participants were equipped with the
knowledge on Computer Fundamentals, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel and
Internet.
The conduct of the training is in view of
the agency’s 2012 action plan to provide computer skills training to OFW
dependents who cannot attend the free training at the Computer Training &
Learning Center (CTLC) in Zamboanga City. (MJA/OWWA9/PIA9/ALT)
