DILG-funded road to hold its groundbreaking ceremony

PAGADIAN CITY, April 19 (PIA) -- A groundbreaking ceremony for the improvement of the 700-meter municipal road in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur will be held today, April 19. 

Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Alel Tabiado said the local government has proposed for the improvement and concreting of the municipal road, which amounted to P700,000. 

Tabiado said the project was approved and funded by Local Government Support Funds (LGSF) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). 

The LGSF is a fund released by the DILG and the Department of Budget and Management to provinces, cities, and municipalities which have passed the DILG’s Seal of Good Housekeeping. 

“The fund was intended to help local government units particularly the municipality of Kumaralang and facilitate its various infrastructure developments to improve the socio-economic situation of the locality,” Tabiado added. (ALT/GCC-PIA 9, ZamboSur)
