DIPOLOG CITY, MAR. 2(PIA)--- Two more suspected drug traffickers fell into the hands of the police operatives as the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency intensified its anti-illegal drug operation in Zamboanga del Norte.
Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Drug Enforcement Officer Jury Rocamora identified the two suspected drug as Gerson D. Cenas, 52 years old, a habal-habal driver and his live-in partner, Hermis G. Ollamina, 43 years old, both residents of Bayview Resort and Pension House, Sunset Boulevard, Dawo, Dapitan City.
According to Rocamora, Cenas and Ollamina were apprehended by the elements of PDEA-Zamboanga del Norte, Dapitan City Police Office and Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Public Safety Company.
The suspects were arrested at about 9 o’clock in the evening, after they agreed to sell and deliver to a PDEA agent, who posed as a buyer one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu.
Among the items recovered from Cenas and Omillana include six (6) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to shabu; 4 pieces of five-hundred peso bills, wherein 1 bill with serial no. VY654873 was the marked money; metal case and an XRM Honda motorcycle(with color red and white combination) with plate number 7988 JK and other drug paraphernalia. The estimated weight of the confiscated shabu is 2.80 grams.
Rocamora said the confiscated items were inventoried and marked in the presence of the suspects at the place of arrest. It was witnessed by Ronie Jarapan, a media representative; James R. Dalman, DOJ representative; and Hon Virgilio T. Acaylar, an elected official representative.
The suspects are now detained at the Dapitan City Police Station detention cell as appropriate case is now prepared to be filed against them in court.(ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
