DIPOLOG CITY, March 1 (PIA) – As the country celebrates the month of March as fire prevention month, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has scheduled a series of lectures and forums to be conducted in the different schools and establishments in the city during the month-long observance.
City Fire Marshall CI Janice Atana Espero told the press that the BFP would be holding symposiums on fire safety as well as fire drill in schools and establishments in the city.
To mark the start of the fire prevention month, a motorcade was held this morning along the major thoroughfares in the city to be followed by friendly exhibition games in basketball and volleyball between BFP personnel and the local media.
Espero, on the other hand, said that no fire incident has been reported for the past three months here in the city.
