PAGADIAN CITY, February 22 (PIA) - - The Pagadian-Zamboanga del Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc. (PZCCIFI) will spearhead the First Pagadian Tax Forum tomorrow, February 23 from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P. M. at Kamayan sa Pagadian along F. S. Pajares Avenue, this city.
Ms. Mercedes Lourdes S. Quisumbing, PZCCIFI President said the forum aims to aid businessmen in the preparation of their income tax when they file it with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on April 15, 2012.
A registration fee of P500 will be paid by participants to cover meals and other expenses.
Ms. Amor T. Palma, president of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) will be among the speakers, together with BIR Revenue District Officer Atty. Nasrollah B. Conding.
Ms. Palma will discuss basic bookkeeping and accounting so that participants will know in detail how to go about with the proper procedures and principles while Atty. Conding will tackle updates on tax reforms.
The forum is expected to gather businessmen in the city thereby equipping them with vital information as well as update them on how to file their income tax correctly. Further, it will also boost tax collection in the city as well as the province of Zamboanga del Sur. (ALT-PIA9/Zambo Sur)
