BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur, 10, Nov. (PIA) –- The officials and employees of the local government unit of Bayog here underwent general medical check-up at the Rural Health Unit starting Sunday, November 6, 2011 until yesterday, November 9
Conducted by the Cagayan Capitol Diagnostic Centre, the said medical check up was an initiative of Municipal Mayor Leonardo L. Babasa, Jr.
During the celebration of the 19th anniversary of Bayog Municipal Employees Association (BAMEA)last September 23, Babasa mentioned in his speech about the additional benefits to employees.
According to him, there would be no good output in any work if one has health problems.
The free medical check up is mandatory to all employees. In case an employee included members of their immediate family in the said medical examination, the expenses will just be deducted to their salary.
Results of the laboratory tests will be forwarded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor after four to five days to keep its confidentiality. The municipal health officer will make the necessary referral if the result needs immediate treatment. (JPA/BAG/CAL/PIA9/ZamboSur)
