Rotary Youth in Dipolog takes the rein of governance for one week

DIPOLOG CITY - City Mayor Evelyn T. Uy issued an Executive Order declaring September 9-13, 2013 as Rotary Youth Week empowering the Rotary Youth Officers to sit as city officials.

The Rotary Youth Week carries the theme: “Engage Rotary, Change Lives.”

Mayor Uy lauded the Rotary Club of Dipolog in the conduct of the activity since this will serve as a venue to expose the youth in good governance being adopted by the city government in all its transactions.

Rotary Youth Officers from the public and private secondary schools in Dipolog will be serving in executive and legislative positions of the city government.

Raul T. Eguia II will be the City Mayor, Katreeya Eleonor Limsi as the Vice-Mayor, Rachelle Jane O. Tinaco as City Administrator, Mae Charisse B. Chiong as City Treasurer, Ma. Elaine G. Dagoy as City Accountant, Shiele B. Barera as City Budget Officer, Thomas Jude Montaňo as City Engineer, Maria Concepcion Liong as City Health Officer, Jozyl M. Bigcas as City Civil Registrar, Kyra Elaine G. Co as City Legal Officer, Mae A. Lonzon as City Veterinarian, Jalen Hannah Elaisha M. Ogoc as City General Services Officer, Rodel L. Gahuman as City Agriculturist, Danica Soliva as City Registry of Deeds Officer, Grace C. Matias as City Auditor,     Janelle Mae V. Flores as SP Secretary.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod Members are Mary Nove V. Patangan as Majority Floor Leader,      Danielle Carisse M. Concha as Minority Floor Leader, Joshua Cesar B. Uy as President Pro-Tempore, Dhecy Lorraine M. Banquiao, Julius Angelo G. Daymiel, Emmanuel Manolo Montano, Richel J. Acabal II, Kimberly V. Jumuad, Angel Mae G. Corpuz, Jenny Lou Z. Capino, Alyssa Andrea E. Dormitorio and Julianne Grace Montes.

This activity aims to make the youth aware of their important role in the development of their community.

They will experience how to  be a community leader and public servant giving them an opportunity to participate in the implementation of government policies and programs. (PIA9)
