Columbian Autocar Corporation announces nationwide recall campaign of KIA vehicles

PAGADIAN CITY - Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), authorized distributor of KIA vehicles in the Philippines announces a nationwide recall campaign of KIA vehicles starting June 3, 2013.

DTI Provincial Director Ma. Socorro M. Atay said the CAC, through its nationwide dealership network shall conduct a limited recall campaign to inspect, repair and replace the stop lamp switch of certain vehicles belonging to some production batch of Sorento (BL and XM0, Carnival (VQ), Carens (UN), and soul (AM) models sold in the Philippine market.

Further, she said the recall campaign is in line with the worldwide program of KIA Motors Corporation (KMC).

In the Philippines, the recall will cover 301 units of Sorento BL, 1037 units of Sorento XM, 266 units of Carnival VQ, 1018 units of Carens UN and 394 units of Soul AM.

All parts and services will be provided free of charge. Owners of the above-mentioned models are enjoined to take advantage of this recall campaign. (MEJ/DTI/ALT/PIA9)
