PAGADIAN CITY – The five-day Zamboanga
Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet has wrapped up on Saturday
with Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur delegations as over-all
champions in the elementary and secondary levels, respectively.
Eight schools divisions in the region competed in the
different sport events during the weeklong athletic meet held at Dao Sports
Complex this city.
These schools divisions are composed of the cities of
Dapitan, Dipolog, Isabela, Pagadian and Zamboanga and the provinces of
Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay and the host province, Zamboanga del
Sur.
For the elementary level, Zamboanga del Norte emerged
as champion with 298.17 points, followed by Zamboanga City- 275.50 points,
Zamboanga del Sur- 213 points, Zamboanga Sibugay-147.50,Dipolog City- 137
points, Isabela City- 132.67, Pagadian City- 68.59 points and Dapitan City-
14.67 points.
In the secondary level, Zamboanga del Sur bested other
delegations by garnering 350 points, followed by Zamboanga City- 334 points,
Zamboanga del Norte- 228.67 points, Dipolog City- 213.50 points, Zamboanga
Sibugay - 146.50 points, Pagadian City – 88 points, Isabela City- 60.67 points
and Dapitan and 35.37 points.
Special awards were also given to the participating
delegations such as cleanest billeting quarter
to the Zamboanga Sibugay delegation, most discipline delegation to the host
province – Zamboanga del Sur and best in sports uniform and best in unity cheer
dance to Zamboanga del Norte. (PIA9)
