ISABELA CITY, Basilan, June 15 (PIA) – Trying to reach out to the people in
the rural areas, the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) Regional Office
IX goes mobile and served the workers of Zamboanga Sibugay.
DOLE-Sibugay Communications Officer Edyllgrace Poligrates said that this dynamic response to the clamor of workers
in the rural areas was part of the month-long celebration of the Labor Day of
DOLE-Regional Coordinating Council 9 last month of May.
The PRC mobile service provided assistance to
96 workers, 70 of whom were assisted with registration or renewal of license
services and 26 were provided consultancy and information services.
Ariel M. Eraldo, an Elementary School
Principal of Ipil SPED School who was served by PRC lauded the effort. He said
that the time and money he saved in going to Zamboanga or Pagadian City to
process his documents for the renewal of his PRC license could be invested in
other worthwhile concerns.
“Gwapo gyud ning panghitabo. Dako kaayo ni ug
tabang,” (This effort is very good. This is really of great help to us) he
said.
Zamboanga Sibugay is a Province in Zamboanga Peninsula
with island-municipalities that are far-off. The PRC mobile service afforded
easy access to professionals to renew their licenses. This effort is part of
DOLE-RCCs thrust of making its services felt at the grassroots. (DOLE9/RVC/PIA9-ZBST)
