DIPOLOG CITY, JUNE
14(PIA)--- The
Dipolog City Schools Division has recently released the result of the 2011
Alternative Learning System’s (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency Test conducted
at the Zamboanga del Norte National High School (main) along Rizal Avenue, Estaka, Dipolog City last November
10, 2011.
Ms.
Catalina S. Barinaga, Acting ALS Supervisor of the Dipolog City Schools
Division said that one hundred fifty-four (154) examinees out of the 404
examinees who took the examination passed the test.
Of
these number, twenty-four(24) passed the elementary level while 130 passed the
secondary level.
Of
the 154 successful examinees, 34 are inmates. These include 24 passers for the
secondary level and 10 for the elementary level.
Barinaga
said, inmates who passed the examination were so happy and were inspired to behave
well inside the rehabilitation center so they could be freed the soonest possible
time and continue their studies.
The
examination for the inmates was administered personally by the lead examiners
from the Bureau of Alternative Learning System, DepEd Central Office inside the
Dipolog City Correctional and Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Upper Dicayas, this
city.
Successful
examines who passed the secondary level are now eligible to enroll in any four
or five-year course, while examinees who successfully passed the elementary
level are also eligible to enroll in high school.
Meanwhile,
Dipolog City Schools Division announces that ALS registration is now going on
and would last until July 31, 2012.
Applicants
are advised to visit the ALS, City Schools Division office between today and
July 31, 2012. The examination is slated to be held at the ZNNHS Main Campus,
Estaka, Dipolog City on October 7, 2012.
