The ceremony was led by Rev. Father Nestor Remasog and witnessed by Chief Supt. Angelito N. Pacia, the newly installed PNP-Directorate for Information Communications and Technology Management, PSSLAI President and chief executive officer Ernesto Belen, vice-chairman Lucas Managuelod, vice-president and general manager Justina Elieza Galvante, Vice Governor Juan Regala, PNP 9 regional director Chief Supt. Napoleon Estilles, other PNP officials, and PSSLAI officers.
Pacia, in his message, said that PSSLAI is a non-stock, non-profit savings and loan association for the PNP that began its operations on July 1, 2003, and whose main objective is to provide PNP uniformed and non-uniformed personnel investment opportunities and immediate access to funds and help them cope with rising needs of daily living.
“Any income generated will go back into the organization for the members to divide equally,” Pacia explained.
Pacia lauded the performance of the board of trustees for providing quick services to its members. “The opening of the PSSLAI field office in ZamboSur marks a milestone for the association as it brings its better services closer to its clients and stakeholders,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pacia thanked the board of trustees for donating desktop computers to Zamboanga del Sur police provincial office. "These equipments are very important in the establishment of the 'e-blotter' system. Without these nothing would happen to the program that we have developed,” Pacia said.
The PSSLAI’s donation is part of the association’s corporate social responsibility.
The software used for the e-blotter was developed by the PNP’s Information Technology Management Service.
After the inauguration, the launching of e-blotter system followed at the conference room. (JPA/GCC-PIA 9, ZamboSur)
