PRC announces schedule of board exams, oath-taking for new teachers

PAGADIAN CITY, May 7 (PIA) - - - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that the oath-taking for new teachers who passed the recent licensure examination last March 20 will be held on May 20, 2012 here.

Ms. Maurin M. Monjardin, Information Officer of PRC-9 said the new teachers are advised to proceed to Window 3 or 4 of the Licensure and Regulation at PRC 9 Pagadian City for details. Passers of LET in any place of examination all over the country may opt to attend the oath-taking ceremony here in Pagadian City but they will have to register/apply for their license at the regional office where they took the exam.

On the other hand, Atty. Senando N. Esteban PRC OIC Regional Director said the board exam for social workers has been rescheduled from June 12-13 to June 26-27, 2012 and the deadline of application is reset from May 23 to June 6. Region 9 examinees will take the exam in Zamboanga City.

Esteban further announced that the Nurses board exam will be on June 30 and July 1, 2012, which falls on Saturday and Sunday. Supervising Professional Regulations Officer and Chief of Licensure and Regulation Division Efren P. Amatorio encourages first-time applicants to file early so as to have ample time to  acquire all lacking requirements, papers and other documents that may not pass through the scrutiny of evaluators based on Office Order No. 2012-142 or the new Board of Nursing (BON) guidelines.
