DIPOLOG CITY, May
15 (PIA) - - There are now three major routes of the roll-on, roll-off (RORO) nautical
highway the traveling public may follow in traversing the archipelago, according
to the Philippine Ports Authority.

Asprer, port manager of the Port Management Office in Dapitan City said the
three major RORO routes from Mindanao to Visayas and Luzon were the western
route, central route and eastern route.
The western route
starts at Dapitan City port and then to Dumaguete City, Bacolod City, Iloilo
City, Caticlan, Roxas City, Calapan, Batangas and Manila.
The central route
goes straight from Cagayan de Oro City to Balingoan, Mambajao, Jagna,
Tagbilaran, Cebu, Bogo, Daang Bantayan and Manila. While the eastern route begins
in Lipata, Surigao del Norte and passes through Naval, Mariripi, Masbate, Bulan
and Manila.
Asprer also
disclosed that the number of travelers using RORO has tremendously increased
