DIPOLOG CITY, MAY 5(PIA)--- The Dipolog City Sangguniang Panlungsod
has recently authorized Mayor Evelyn T. Uy to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement
with the National Food Authority and with Medium and Small Scale Industries
Coordinated Action Program II (MASICAP II).
According
to the SP, the proposed MOA with NFA would facilitate for the easy acquisition
of rice from the NFA which will be used by the City Government in its relief
operation for the victims of calamities.
Meanwhile,
the MOA with the MASICAP II of the MSME Development Foundation Inc., aims to
provide direct assistance to micro, small and medium scale enterprises in the
city and countryside business development in this area.
Once
the proposed MOA with NFA and MASICAP II will be realized the Sangguniang Panlungsod
believes that this could help the marginalized residents of the Dipolog city to
put up small business like sari-sari store, while the MOA with NFA has been seen as an instrument that would help in facilitating
the acquisition of rice for the city’s relief operation to the victims of
calamity.(ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
