DIPOLOG CITY, APR.1(PIA)--- The National Inter-Agency Evaluation/Validation team composed of representatives from various national government agencies has recently visited the municipality of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte
According to Siayan Mayor Flora Villarosa, the team’s visit to her town was in compliance with President Benigno Aquino III’s directive to personally visit Siayan and assess the needs of the poorest municipality of the country.
The team was composed of representatives of Department of Interior and Local Government; Department of Social Welfare and Development; Department of Agriculture and Philhealth.
The included DILG 9 Assistant Regional Director Pedro G, Cuevas, Zamboanga del Norte DILG Provincial Director Arnel F. Gudio; Philhealth Vice-President, Mr. Walter Bacareza Sr. with Manager Maria Valdez and five other Philhealth employees; and DA-9 Regional Technical Director Constancio Alma.
With the team’s visit to her municipality, Mayor Villaroza is optimistic that sooner or later, Siayan will no longer remain as the poorest municipality of the country as the team assures to report to the President for programs and project that will be extended by the national government to Siayan.(ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
