Zambo. Norte proposes P1.3-B budget for 2012

DIPOLOG CITY, Nov. 8 (PIA) -- Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Governor Rolando E. Yebes has endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan P1.3 billion budget for next year.
Yebes disclosed that said budget would be used to fund more infrastructure projects and social services in support of President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III’s good governance.
The provincial governor also reminded the provincial officials and employees to always observe transparency in all types of public transactions.
The provincial government is also planning to implement as project dubbed “Kasiguruhan sa Kabus nga Katawhan (KKK), which is similar to the Philhealth program that gives health insurance coverage to indigents such as market vendors, pedicab drivers, farmers, fisher folks, laborers and others.
Governor Yebes also said a housing project for ordinary employees will be started next year on a lot donated by Vice Governor Francis H. Olvis.
Allocations for food security, healthcare, hospital services, peace and order, tourism development and livelihood are also given priority in the 2012 provincial budget.
Funds for the construction of additional school buildings and concreting of provincial roads are also set aside under the 2012 budget, the governor declared. (JPA/FPG/PIA-Zambo. Norte)
