PAGADIAN CITY, Oct. 10 (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-IX) has disbursed a total amount of P281,932,900.00 for the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries covering 11 municipalities of the first congressional district of Zamboanga del Sur.
In her report during the Convergence Caravan held in Molave gymnasium, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday (Sept. 15, 2011), Evangeline Poquita, 4Ps Provincial Link in the province reported, that from May 2009 to June 2011 DSWD has released the sum of P281,932,900.00 million intended for the 30,625 identified beneficiaries of the program.
The number of beneficiaries as of September 2011 are as follows: Dumingag (4,228); Sominot (1,370); Midsalip (2,959); Tambulig (2,916); Tukuran (2,869); Mahayag (3,800); Labangan (2,966); Ramon Magsaysay (2,067); Josefina (832); Aurora (3,355) and Molave (3,263), totaling to 30,625 beneficiaries.
Last month, during the same activity held in Dumalinao for the second congressional district of the province, DSWD has also reported that a total amount of P499, 974 million was disbursed for the district with some 33,965 program beneficiaries.
To date, the province has a beneficiary base of approximately 63,275. (JPA/CAL/PIA9/ZamboSur)
