CITY - Far
off barangay Lubigan received P4.1-million barangay hall and P2.6-million
covered court, as the city government turned-over said projects totalling P6.7million
recently.
In a simple turnover ceremony, “residents of Lubigan expressed gratitude to
the City Government under the leadership of Mayor Celso Lobregat for
continuously initiating projects to help spur development in Barangay Lubigan,”
said City Information Officer (IO) Sheila Covarrubias in a press statement.
The lady information officer also informed
that the City Engineer’s Office is now preparing plans and estimates for the
construction of a health center in the same barangay (Lubigan).
“As Mayor Lobregat turned-over the barangay
hall and covered court, he also instructed City Engineer Luis Despalo and
personnel from the City Engineer’s Office to prepare the plans and estimates
for a health center, for inclusion in the bidding process after the election
ban,” she said.
“He likewise ordered City General Service
Officer Engr. Rene de la Cruz to immediately install streetlights along the
highway fronting the barangay hall,” Covarrubias added.
Located some 40 kilometers east of the city,
Lubigan is a recipient of a total of P26.828 million from 2007 to present. (PIA9)
