City unveils P16.30M San Roque projects

ZAMBOANGA CITY - The city’s massive implementation of infrastructure projects remains constant and consistent.

This, as Mayor Celso Lobregat unveils yet another project package yesterday, this time for barangay San Roque in the west coast.

Costing a total of P16.30 million, the projects turned over included the newly constructed San Roque barangay hall undertaken by the 2M Construction firm worth P4.17 million and the construction of slope protection implemented by RC construction company at a cost of P5.188 million.

Also inaugurated and turned over yesterday were 3 other projects that consist of the construction of drainage system along the NFA road leading up to the junction of Talungon, San Roque implemented by Steel-Rich Construction company and worth P2.53 million; construction of drainage system at the City Abattoir undertaken by CGR company and worth P1.96 million and the construction of multi-purpose pavement at the City Abattoir implemented also by CGR company and worth P2.46 million.
Like all other barangays, San Roque has received enormous projects during the administration of Mayor Lobregat. From 2007 to include those submitted to the Bids and Awards Committee and those for implementation in 2012, the city government has spent a total of P135.208 million for barangay San Roque.

Mayor Lobregat has emphasized that his administration will continuously assist and support the barangays to ensure improve delivery of services to the people and ultimately to help improve the plight of the constituents.

The Lobregat administration has an unsurpassed record of project implementation that has reached over P3 billion for the period 2009-2011 without having to borrow a single centavo from any financial institution.

The projects that include school buildings, drainage systems, slope protection, water system, government offices, health centers, multi-purpose covered courts, road concreting, bridges, fire stations, police action centers and police stations, parks and numerous others are implemented not only in the city proper area but all throughout the city to help bring about development and progress.
