DIPOLOG CITY, July
26 (PIA) - - As Butuan City will celebrate its foundation day on Aug. 2,
business leaders from all over Mindanao and other parts of the country together
with key government officials shall also converge there for the 21st
Mindanao Business Conference.
Jointly hosted by
the Butuan City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. and the City
Government of Butuan, the conference will run for three days with the theme,
“Invest Mindanao… Towards a More Inclusive, Progressive and Greener Future.”
Dipolog Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Atty. Paul G. Gudmalin told the
Philippine Information Agency (PIA) that the MINBIZCON, which will be held at
the Almont Hotel’s Inland Resort along J.C. Aquino Avenue, Butuan City, is
going to discuss the Mindanao 2020 plan, doing business with Japan and China,
Mindanao product champions, ASEAN integration, the challenges in making
Mindanao industries competitive, credit access and policy environment to
support MSMEs and others.
It was also learned
that US Ambassador to the Philippines Harry K. Thomas was invited to serve as
the keynote speaker in the opening ceremonies.
Ambassadors of
Japan, China and Korea have also been invited to grace the MINBIZCON opening
program.
The organizers have
also invited President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III to serve as the guest of
honor during the closing ceremonies.

It can be recalled
