ZAMBOANGA CITY, June 6 (PIA)- - San Jose Gusu Elementary School is a proud recipient of a school building project as it formally received this morning a P3.2 million 2-storey 4-classrom building from the city government.

The school building is the forth in a row turned over by the city in a span of two weeks.

City Information Officer (IO) Sheila Covarrubias said, “the newly constructed school building project is the 4th project to be unveiled by the city in two weeks time as the present city administration hopes to help improve the student-classroom ratio in public schools in the city.”

“Yesterday, the city government unveiled and turned over the P10.7 million 2-storey 10 classroom building at the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School while two school buildings—a 2-storey 8 classroom each—all amounting to P16.59 million were inaugurated last Friday at the Talon-talon National High School,” Covarrubias informed.

Covarrubias emphasized, with utmost concern of improving the quality of education here in the city and to ensure a better future for the youth, the present local government vowed to continue its assistance to the education sector.(JPA/SC /CIO/PIA9-ZBST)
