Gbelai di Dlepuyan 2012 to highlight celebration of 4Ps Day

PAGADIAN CITY, May 29 (PIA)  – In celebration of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino (4Ps) Program Day, a total of 2,561 indigent households of Lapuyan, Zamboanga del  Sur, together with the local government unit and various stakeholders will gather together on May 29-30 at the AVASMCES Gym for various activities that have been planned for the occasion.

Mayor Daylinda Sulong said 4Ps, now on its third year of implementation has paved the way towards strengthening and educating the families/beneficiaries as well as contributed much to their economic upliftment.

Mayor Sulong said activities include a Medical Mission, Agri-Fair and Cheer Dance Competition to be held on May 29 with the participation of 3 clusters of Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, a Family Development Session will cap the day’s activity to support the claim of beneficiaries who wish to be recognized as legitimate couples, to ensure stronger family foundation and to avail of the programs and services offered by various stakeholders.

Thus, on May 30, 384 couples will participate in a mass wedding dubbed as “Gbelai di Dlepuyan 2012”  to highlight the celebration after which a banquet hosted by the municipal government will ensue.   

The Multi-Stakeholders Caravan will be participated by different national government agencies such as: the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of the Interior and Local Government, National Commission on Indigenous People, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, PhilHealth, Department of Labor and Employment,  Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DepEd), National Statistics Office, National Anti-Poverty Commission, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Science and Technology, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
