Locally termed as “Buskahan frutas y gulay na diferentes Barangay” (Fruit and
vegetable hunting in the different Barangays), the game was conceived to keep
up with the radio station’s mission of promoting health and nutrition in the
city.
Station Manager Richard Falcatan disclosed
that the successful conduct of the egg-hunting game during the Easter Sunday
prompted his staff to adopt the idea and that this time DXNO listeners will
hunt for vegetables and fruits instead.
“The activity will promote awareness on the
health benefits that fruits and vegetables can provide,” Falcatan stressed.
The fruits and vegetables were placed or
hidden at specific landmarks and strategic areas in most of the 45 barangays in
Isabela City, like chapels, barangay hall, waiting sheds, including
establishments, such as vicinity of banks, fast-food center, and schools.

At least 46 out of 50 fruits and vegetables
were found and winners received a cash prize of P150.00 each plus a wall clock.
DXNO-FM radio station was formally launched
last April 25, 2011 in time with the city’s founding anniversary. The
establishment of the community radio station was made possible through the
support of the National Nutrition Council, the United Evangelical Church of
Isabela, and the local government of Isabela under the leadership of Mayor
Cherrylyn Santos-Akbar.
