DIPOLOG CITY, April 16 (PIA) - - Eleven high school graduates from the different secondary schools in Zamboanga del Norte and the cities of Dipolog and Dapitan have recently passed the Science and Technology (S&T) scholarship test given by the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI).
Provincial Science and Technology Director Marcial R. Dahonan of DOST-Zamboanga del Norte disclosed that one was awarded scholarship under the DOST-SEI Merit Scholarship and 10 were given scholarship under the RA 7687 program.
The scholarship privileges for both programs include school fees, book and transportation allowances and a monthly stipend, among others.
The scholars are to enroll in science and technology courses such as engineering, natural and physical sciences or other disciplines identified as priority courses under this program. They must also maintain the highest standard of scholastic achievement and behavior while in school.
The examinee who made it to the DOST-SEI Merit Program was Audrey Ann Acevedo Arocha of the Zamboanga del Norte National High School (ZNNHS) in Dipolog City.
For RA 7687 Program, the successful examinees are Clark Kevin Balansag Belucora of ZNNHS, Mary Joy Quinal Castillo of Piñan National High School, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, Francis Rey Urot of Sulangon National High School, Sulangon, Dapitan City, Jeric Catchero Gako of Galas National High School, Galas, Dipolog City, Chjristopher Alvarez Lugo of Liloy National High School-Compra Annex, Compra, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, Josel Marie Patangan Recentes of ZNNHS, Judea Christine Morgia Requiron of ZNNHS, Angelie Claire Buntag Sayson of ZNNHS, Michael Angelou Canoy Tomogon of Katipunan National High School-Matam Annex, Matam, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte and Alvin Bandala Valles of ZNNHS.
